Repository of the Institute for Problems of Cryobiology and Cryomedicine of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The institute performs basic and applied research in the following areas: research of mechanisms of cryodamage, cryoprotection, natural resistance of biological specimens to cold and their recovery after cold effect; creation of effective methods of artificial cryoprotection of biological systems of different levels of organization and on their basis the development of technologies of cryopreservation of biological objects and technical means of their implementation; application of hypothermia, cryotherapy and cryopreserved biological objects in treatment of various diseases; cell and tissue transplantation..
