Description
The National Open Access Research Data Archive (MIDAS) is a platform for collecting, storing, managing, and publishing digital research data from any discipline and for finding and reusing data and metadata published by others. MIDAS is intended for scholars and researchers, teachers and lecturers, students, research-performing organisations, educational and medical institutions, and other individuals or institutions involved in scientific research. The platform consists of the MIDAS portal, a public space accessible to anyone interested in discovering and viewing published research data and metadata, and a MIDAS user account available to registered users only.
All metadata published in the MIDAS portal can be viewed without prior registration or authentication. The availability of data published in MIDAS depends on the access conditions set by the owner of the data. Data released as “public access” can be downloaded without prior registration or authentication. Data released as “permission required” is subject to one of the following restrictions: (1) Data can be viewed or downloaded only by registered users; (2) Data can be viewed or downloaded only by a specific group of registered users; (3) Data can be viewed or downloaded only by its owner.
Users wishing to view or download Data which they have no direct access to may submit an access request (registration and authentication required).
