Description

The Institutional Repository (RI) of the State Universitry of Ponta Grossa (UEPG) originated of a project submitted to FINEP/PCAL/XBDB 002/2009 and approved by the Judging Committee coordinated by the Brazilian Institute of Information Science and Technology (IBICT). It supports their deployment guidance for Institutional Policy Information according to Resolution No CA 344, August 31st, 2009 recognizing the importance of implementing management actions to ensure the documentary and informational record production and dissemination of technical, scientific and documentary of the institution. Its mission is to create a digital environment in which scientific production can be made available, known and used by other members of the scientific community and society in general. So stores, preserves, disseminates and provides access to scientific and intellectual production of the university in digital format. Communities are structured according to the structure of sectors, departments and agencies and has a Repository Management Committee with Dean representatives from the Research and Graduate Studies, Data Processing Center, Central Library and a representative from each knowledge Sector University who work regulating the power of RI, selecting and establishing criteria and policies for their promotion.
