Registry of Open Access Repositories

Falmouth University Research Repository

Webshot of Home Page

Description

The aim of our repository is to store, share and preserve any suitable research material produced by the University's researchers and to make sure that it is available to the widest possible audience. This will be of great benefit to Falmouth University staff and students. In addition, it is an open resource that will be made available to members of the public. The national Research Excellence Framework (REF) will be utilised within FUR to ensure that the standards are met and adhered to, ensuring we meet the national framework that measures and rewards excellence in research. The repository has utilised the JISC framework to source, select and decide upon the best fit, in both technical and operational terms, for the predominantly arts-based study prevalent at the University. Falmouth courses are not entirely arts based and the chosen repository solution also provides the ability to capture textual content in an equally efficient manner.
