Description
Chalmers Publication Library (CPL) offers the possibility of retrieving research publications produced at Chalmers University of Technology, it covers all types of publications: dissertations, licentiate theses, master’s theses, conference papers, journal articles, reports etc. Since 2006 it is the official tool for Chalmers official publication statistics. At the start in 2004 CPL was primarily a bibliographic database, but to a growing extent it is now also containing full-texts. To ensure that Chalmers' scientific results are disseminated as widely as possible, Chalmers President decided to introduce an Open Access Policy, which came into effect on January 1st 2010. This means that researchers at Chalmers must submit a full-text copy of their publications in electronic form to CPL. Also, all master’s theses work started autumn 2009 or later must be published electronically in CPL. CPL was originally developed and designed by Per Thernquist, Chalmers Library, for Chalmers, but in cooperation with Gothenburg University Library (2006-2007) it has been further developed to provide functionality for multiple organisations. Gothenburg University Publications (GUP) also uses the same open source software Scigloo. The CPL service is administrated and maintained by Chalmers Library.S
